Model history
The Porsche 914, a compact sports car, was developed by Porsche and Volkswagen in the late 1960s and produced between 1969 and 1976. With its striking targa top design, the model enjoyed great popularity, especially in the USA under the Porsche brand. Various four-cylinder boxer engines, including the powerful Porsche 914/6 with a six-cylinder engine, were offered. Despite intermittent market challenges, the 914 has achieved cult status over time thanks to its unique combination of handling, performance and design.
