1970 The Porsche 914 is a mid-engine sports car developed by Porsche in cooperation with Volkswagen. Designed as a Targa, the sports car was a 2+1 seater, provided delivered with an optional seat cushion. Between 1969 and 1976, the Porsche 914 was offered with air-cooled four-cylinder boxer engines between 1.7 and 2.0 and a 2.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine from the 911. The engines produce between 80 and 110 hp. The Porsche 914s with six-cylinder boxer engines are called 914/6. Porsche produced a total of 118,969 units. The Porsche 914/6 accounted for 3,338 of these.
