With these virtues, the 928 quickly found its own, upscale, and loyal clientele. In 1979, Porsche introduced the 928 S, fulfilling customer demand for more power. The new top model delivered a prestigious 300 hp, now befitting this Porsche. Auto Motor und Sport recorded a rapid 6.6 seconds for the 0-100 km/h sprint, a top speed of 250 km/h, and stated: "On the Autobahn, the big Porsche Gran Turismo plays its trump cards."
This Porsche 928 S was produced, registered, and driven intensively in 1983. At the end of 1984, the sports car was transferred to a collector in Sweden. There, the Porsche was hardly driven again, as the numerous Swedish MOT documents attest.
Now this exceptionally good 928 S has returned and received a comprehensive service, including a timing belt and water pump replacement, to revive it. The beautiful interior is immaculate, and the bodywork is also impressive.
This Porsche 928 S not only impresses with its beautiful color combination and extremely low mileage, but, thanks to its 5-speed manual transmission, is also particularly impressive in terms of driving performance. With its subtly captivating V8 sound, this Gran Turismo is still one of the fastest cars today.
