The vehicle in detail

The classic color combination in slate gray metallic with the beige leather interior, the cup mirrors and rims is probably one of the most beautiful ways to drive a Porsche.
On June 1, 1990, the car was handed over to the first owner by AMAG, Porsche Center Zurich. The vehicle documents show the history of all previous owners, which is documented just as completely as the mileage and a total of 18 maintenance services since delivery. The vehicle has been in the hands of the last owner since 2006. The current km reading is 141,700.
With this vehicle we have proven the benchmark in the area of restoration and preparation. This 964 Targa presented itself to us without any accident damage or signs of rust, with a higher mileage than would normally be acceptable to us in collector condition. Due to its excellent care and history, this vehicle was so worth preserving that we transferred our claim to an original vehicle in terms of craftsmanship and technology. Although the 964 model was built a total of over 63,000 times, only very few vehicles are still in this condition. In addition, many have fallen victim to the backdate trend, which is likely to continue.

According to our paint layer measurement, the measurable body parts only showed repainting on the rear right side part, which was carried out at Porsche with the invoice available. Nevertheless, isolated stone chips and wear and tear were visible on the body and we therefore carried out almost a complete paint job in the original color. In terms of surface, level of gloss and flatness, as well as gap dimensions, the paintwork is of a quality that is on a par with the delivery condition.
The SHK company in Hungen and the workshop manager K. Dörrbecker, who is well-known in Porsche circles, have been looking after this vehicle since 2006. In 2023, the engine was dismantled down to the block, subjected to an overhaul and all leaks were fixed. In addition, the fuel hoses on the engine were replaced, the ignition switch was replaced, and the engine panels, fan wheel and housing were blasted. The work was recorded in image documentation.
The rims were also completely overhauled and the fog lamp lenses were replaced. Among other things, the valve covers, the clutch and the dust protection sleeves of the dampers were replaced or revised during an earlier “treatment”.
After being reworked by a specialized upholstery company, the entire interior is as good as new and again without any wear and tear.
Clearly visible here: the newly installed light strip. In general, original Porsche Klassik parts were used as standard.
The special equipment is interesting because this example was equipped with the 40% limited-slip differential (M 220) and the very rare sports seats (M 383, 387), which are electrically height-adjustable (M 383, 387).
The complete original logbook with all contents such as the service booklet, the operating instructions and the Swiss emissions document is also available, as is the complete set of keys and tools, which is in an unused and partly originally welded condition.
Conclusion: For us the 964 is the most beautiful and simply the perfect air-cooled model. This “Motor Legends Restored Original” has been intensively and comprehensively revised by us both technically and visually. This has created a 911 for the future that is rare in this level of quality and preservation and builds a bridge between original substance, history and new technology, as well as a new look. For anyone whose dream is to own a Porsche 964 Targa and to have the certainty of driving a reliable classic for a long time without any work or costs, this is the opportunity to make it come true. The 964 models in particular have been in very high demand for some time, which will continue due to their classic look, low quantities and very high suitability for everyday use.

Vehicle history:
On June 1, 1990, the vehicle was registered and delivered to the first owner by the Porsche Center Zurich. In 2006 the car was imported to Germany and registered to a company. The company's managing director was the last owner to take over the car in 2010. The vehicle has been registered to this private owner for 13 years now.
