The basis for this is well known: the 964 Carrera Cabriolet with a shortened windshield and modified roof construction was used. What is less well known is that the chassis, bucket seats and lightweight door panels were taken directly from the 964 RS, and all comfort features were dispensed with. As a result, not only is the appearance of the 964 Speedster one of the most beautiful Porsche models ever built, but the driving performance was also consistently sporty, as with the 356. Among the many prominent owners of the 964 Speedster is the actor George Clooney, who also owns this model in black.
This is one of 931 Porsche 964 Speedsters ever built. Only 245 of these were produced for the German market in model year '94. This is the 20th vehicle built - a very early example.
It was delivered to its first owner by the Porsche Center Munich - Mahag on 05.05.1993. The car has been in the possession of the last owner since 2010 and comes from the "Crown Mountain" collection, a fine selection of rare special models from German delivery, low mileage and many years of previous ownership.
Particularly valuable: Our paint layer measurement has shown that the body parts are at the same level as the factory paintwork. No repainting could be detected, so we assume that it is still the original paint all around.
A total of nine entries in the maintenance booklet document the service work, all but one of which was carried out at Porsche Centers. The care and maintenance condition testifies to a meticulously maintained vehicle with no recognizable defects or wear and tear. In the hands of the previous owners, all maintenance intervals were adhered to despite the low mileage.
The entire history of the vehicle, which was exclusively and continuously registered in Germany, is fully available and documented, including all changes of ownership. The original service and MOT receipts document the mileage since delivery.
In addition to the fully preserved set of keys, the complete on-board folder with original checkbook, operating instructions and the Speedster supplementary manual are also present, as is the almost untouched tool kit with compressor and jack, which is still in the original outer packaging.
Due to the low mileage of only 29,700 km and the unchanged delivery condition with hardly any noticeable wear, this Speedster achieves a Concours condition with the highest score and thus deserves the title of a particularly outstanding and collectible example. The present Porsche birth certificate shows the vehicle with "Matching Numbers" units and the correct equipment.
