A new service and inspection for damage from standing (reactivation) was carried out in 2025 at the Porsche Center Stuttgart, meaning the vehicle is now up to date both technically and in terms of documentation, ready for the road or for a collection.
The 911 Carrera RS (964), with its 260 hp 3.6-liter boxer engine, the weight advantage achieved through targeted reduction, and the sporty chassis tuning, is one of the most purist driver's cars of its time and today an icon of the RS series.

History of the series
The 964 model series of the Porsche 911 was produced from 1989 to 1994 and was a significant evolution of its predecessor, the 911 G-model. Some of the most notable features of the 964 were the introduction of all-wheel drive (Carrera 4) and the availability of an automatic Tiptronic transmission.
In terms of design, the 964 retained many classic 911 elements, but also received some modern updates. These included a slightly rounded body and a revised interior. Production models were the Carrera 2, Carrera 4, Speedster, and the Turbo.
The Carrera RS, Carrera RS 3.8 and the Turbo S were also available as special series. The 964 was a great success for Porsche and laid the foundation for the following model series of the 911. It is considered by many Porsche enthusiasts to be one of the best variants of the 911, as it offers the perfect balance between tradition and innovation.
