Technology & Performance The 991.2 marked a significant technical change within the Carrera series. The naturally aspirated engine of its predecessor was replaced by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with twin turbochargers. In the Carrera, this engine delivers 370 pk and 450 Nm of torque, with maximum torque available even at low RPMs.
Combined with the 7-speed PDK and the Sport Chrono Package, the Carrera accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds using Launch Control. It reaches 200 km/h in approximately 14.5 seconds, and its top speed is 293 km/h.
The combination of rear-wheel drive, PDK, PASM, dynamic engine mounts, and Sport Chrono makes this Carrera both sporty and versatile. The switchable sport exhaust system provides a distinctly sportier engine sound when desired.
