Rear-wheel steering works like this: At low speeds, the rear wheels are steered in the opposite direction to the front wheels, resulting in a 0.4 meter smaller turning circle. When driving faster, however, the rear wheels steer in the same direction as the front wheels and ensure safe and significantly better handling.
