Model history

The Porsche 991 GT3, introduced in 2013 as part of the seventh 911 generation, marked a new stage of development in the field of road-legal high-performance sports cars. With a 3.8-liter six-cylinder boxer engine that revs up to 9,000 rpm, the GT3 produced around 475 hp in the 2015 model generation. For the first time, Porsche relied exclusively on the in-house 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox (PDK) for the GT3, which caused controversial discussions among purists, but at the same time stands for extremely fast shift times and impressive driving performance. Active rear-axle steering and extensive aerodynamic measures also ensured exceptional driving dynamics. The 991 GT3 is a tribute to motorsport and offers almost uncompromising racing performance with everyday reliability on the road.
