2024 Porsche 992.2 Carrera GTS Coupe

The 992.2 Carrera GTS is the first 911 Carrera with a hybrid drivetrain. The 3.6 litre flat-six has an electric turbocharger that builds boost without lag, supplemented by an electric motor in the eight-speed PDK. Combined output is 541 ps and 610 Nm, exclusively to the rear wheels. The driving character sits between a Turbo and a GT3: more precise than a Turbo, more accessible than a GT3. The suspension has a GTS setup with PASM Sport. At the Nürburgring Nordschleife the 992.2 GTS recorded a lap time of 7:16.93, more than eight seconds quicker than its predecessor.

Fun fact: the electric turbocharger reaches maximum boost in 0.8 seconds at 2,000 rpm. The 3.0 litre engine of the previous GTS took 3 seconds.
