2024 Porsche 992.2 Carrera 4 GTS
The 992.2 Targa 4 GTS is the first Targa ever to feature a hybrid drivetrain. Porsche fitted a new 3.6 litre flat-six with an electric turbocharger that eliminates lag at low rpm, supplemented by an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed PDK. Combined output is 541 ps. All-wheel drive and rear-axle steering are standard.
This example is finished in Black Olive, a Paint to Sample colour Porsche first offered in 2006 and only released again twelve years later. Unlike most dark Porsche shades, Black Olive is not metallic but a solid, uninterrupted paint. No metallic flake breaking up the light, which keeps the shape of the bodywork clearly readable. On a Targa, where the hoop and the curved rear glass carry the entire design, that works in the car’s favour.
Fun fact: the electric turbocharger eliminates turbo lag entirely. At any throttle position, at any engine speed, power is immediately available.
