2020 Porsche 992 Carrera 4 GTS
The 992.1 Targa 4 GTS is the only open 911 that combines the Targa roof, all-wheel drive and the full GTS package. The 3.0 litre twin-turbo flat-six produces 480 ps and 570 Nm, sent through the eight-speed PDK to all four wheels. Compared to the Carrera S, the GTS sits 10 mm lower, has Turbo-grade brakes, a sport exhaust and rear-axle steering as standard. The Targa roof operates fully automatically: the body opens, the roof folds away, and the car continues with the classic hoop and glass rear panel intact.
Fun fact: the Targa name is not a marketing term but a registered trademark. Porsche registered it in 1965, named after the Targa Florio road race in Sicily.
