The car remains accident free, retains matching numbers, and still wears first paint, apart from one small professional sport repair on the left side.
A major service was just completed in February 2026 at 48,500 km at Porsche Classic Center Gelderland for almost €9,500, including a new water pump, front brake discs, rear brake pads and a four-wheel alignment.
The GT3 is supplied with its complete service book, manuals, documentation folder and Porsche inspection report, confirming the excellent condition of this car.
The 996 GT3 Mk2 is widely regarded as one of the purest and most engaging driver-focused Porsche 911 models of the modern era. Developed directly from Porsche’s motorsport program, it combines lightweight engineering, a highly precise chassis and the legendary Mezger racing engine.
At its heart lies the 3.6-litre naturally aspirated Mezger flat-six, producing 380 horsepower.
Unlike the regular 996 Carrera engines, the Mezger unit is derived from Porsche’s endurance racing engines and features a true dry-sump lubrication system and motorsport-based architecture, making it exceptionally robust and capable of sustained high-performance driving.
For the Mk2 generation Porsche increased power, refined the suspension setup and improved the aerodynamics. Combined with the 6-speed manual gearbox, hydraulic steering and minimal electronic intervention, the result is a highly engaging and analogue driving experience that has become increasingly rare in modern sports cars.
Many enthusiasts and collectors consider the 996 GT3 Mk2 to be one of the last truly analogue GT3 models, offering a direct mechanical connection between driver and machine that later generations cannot fully replicate.
This particular example stands out not only for its low mileage and excellent ownership history, but also for its rare Midnight Blue Metallic exterior colour (L39C). While most 996 GT3s were delivered in traditional colours such as white, silver or black, Midnight Blue gives this car a far more elegant and understated appearance while remaining extremely uncommon on this model.
Another unique detail is the driver’s Recaro bucket seat with Porsche crest, installed by the first owner and similar to the seat used in the Porsche 911 GT2 (996). This feature enhances the motorsport atmosphere of the cockpit while perfectly fitting the character of the GT3.
The car has been meticulously maintained throughout its life and remains in excellent condition.
