ABOUT GEMBALLA
Gemballa is a German tuning company founded in 1981 by Uwe Gemballa, which made a name for itself early on by extensively modifying Porsche models, not only in terms of performance but also in terms of appearance. In the 1980s and 1990s, the vehicles became known above all for their futuristic interiors, radical widebody kits, and sometimes spectacular audio/video conversions. After the death of the company's founder in 2010, Gemballa was restructured and has since focused more on technical performance enhancements and exclusive small series.
The Gemballa conversions based on the Porsche 996 mark a particularly formative phase for the company, during which the tuner developed from a pure styling specialist into a serious high-performance provider. Starting with the 996 Turbo and the Carrera models, Gemballa created vehicles that clearly exceeded the standard level in both visual and technical terms. The GTR models in particular—such as the GTR 600 and GTR 650—set clear high-performance accents with their extensive aerodynamic packages, wide bodies, and power increases of up to around 650 hp, aiming to surpass the Porsche GT2 in terms of performance and exoticism.
They were complemented by the GT conversions based on the Carrera models, which were more subtle but still offered noticeable performance enhancements and a more striking appearance. Overall, the 996 Gemballa conversions fit into the company's model universe as a transition from the extravagant, sometimes futuristic creations of the 1990s to the focused, performance-oriented vehicles that later culminated in the Mirage GT and other projects.

HANDOVER
This 996 Gemballa is being sold on behalf of a customer with a new TÜV certificate and handover inspection. The starter motor was recently replaced in our workshop, and the Gemballa will also be fitted with new tires before delivery to its new owner.
