When the updated 997 was launched as a 2009 model year car, the world looked quite different. The global financial crisis of 2008 had caused major disruption, and Porsche was naturally affected as demand declined. Production was reduced, and compared with its predecessor, the 997.1, the 997.2 series was produced in significantly lower numbers, often in more commonplace specifications such as dark grey, silver, or black.
That is why we at Epicar are especially pleased to present this low-mileage beauty in a superbly classic and elegant colour combination. Midnight Blue suits the soft lines of the 911 exceptionally well, while the warm and luxurious interior is the icing on the cake. Natural Brown is a “through-dyed” and natural leather colour, meaning it has a less processed appearance compared with standard leather. It is supplied as “Natural Full Grain,” which represents the highest leather quality, where the hide’s natural texture and grain are preserved rather than sanded down.
The car has also received a number of tasteful additions from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur / Sonderwunsch in the form of contrasting stitching in Blue Serafil 827 on the upper door panels, dashboard, and seats.
The car is presented in impeccable condition with no repainting whatsoever, no door dings, or any other unpleasant surprises. The entire vehicle has been protected with expertly applied PPF (Paint Protection Film), and servicing has been carried out exclusively at Porsche Centres, despite the car covering only very few miles per year. Today, the 997.2 is rightly regarded as a modern classic and, thanks to its mechanical reliability and limited supply, has become a sound investment. Most importantly, however, it is a truly exciting 911, featuring hydraulic steering, a sonorous flat-six engine, and the lightning-fast PDK gearbox — a combination that is hard to beat.
