Initially launched during the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show the second generation 997 Turbo was an instant hit and our example will certainly appeal to a buyer who is looking for the rare manual transmission and which may also offer good investment potential.
This stunning Ruby metallic car offers a very sporty focussed options list to include the carbon package and Exclusive Dep’t options. This special car’s specification was focussed on its more powerful sibling and has the feel of the S model. The second-generation models received a completely new 6-cylinder, 3.8 litre boxer engine delivering 500hp with the revised Borg-Warner (VTG) turbos.
Porsche claimed the 911 Turbo would travel from 0 to 62 mph in 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 194 mph though several well-regarded automotive publications proved that Porsche may have been a little modest. The looks of the facelifted model were left mostly untouched from the original 997 Turbo, but there are subtle changes to the rear lights, which were enhanced to an LED-type, in addition to changes to the front lamps.
Supplied new by Porsche Centre Guildford in January 2010, our stunning example has enjoyed regular servicing, and the history file contains invoices and historic MOT information. A rarity by virtue of its large optional specification and manual gearbox option, this vehicle is ready to be enjoyed.
