Model history
The Porsche 997, successor to the 996, debuted in 2004 with a wider body design. It offered various engine variants, including boxer engines with up to six cylinders and displacements between 3.6 and 4.0 liters. The top version, the 911 GT2 RS, had a 3.6-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with biturbo charging and delivered up to 620 hp. By 2012, around 213,000 units had been produced.
