The vehicle in detail

This Car:

Delivered new IMSA Performance by Porsche Motorsport on February 21st, 2008, chassis WP0ZZZ99 Z8S 799923 was the teams new lead car (no 76) for the 2008 season, driven by Richard Lietz and Raymond Narac in the Le Mans Series.

The car was shaken down at the traditional Le Mans Series test at Paul Ricard in March 2008 and a class podium – 3rd followed in its first race at Catalunya 1000Kms. After Monza and Spa another class 3rd came at Nürburgring 1000kms. The final race at Silverstone saw a coming together with Minassian in the Peugeot and routinely the shell was exchanged with Porsche for a new replacement in readiness for the 2009 season.

For 2009, 2010 and 2011 Imsa Performance then ran the car for a Pro/Am driver line up, first in 2009 International GT Open, then 2010 Spa 24hrs and in FFSA VDV where it won the championship. Finally for 2011 it ran in the Le Mans 24hr Test, where it qualified 2nd in GTE Am, but was subsequently not eligible to be used in the 24hr race as the car was not fitted with Air Conditioning which had now become mandatory in GT2.

In 2015, Labre Competition fully rebuilt the engine and gearbox in 2015, since when the car has not been raced or used.

Ownership Provenance:

  1. IMSA Performance (Porsche Centre Rouen)
  2. Sport Event Communication (F)
  3. Maxted-Page Ltd (UK)

The car was acquired by us directly from Sport Event Communication in 2023 and imported to the UK.

Having remained in storage since the engine and gearbox in 2015, we have subsequently completed a programme of preparation of the car for historic racing. The engine and gearbox have been re-inspected and checked. Suspension and wheels crack-tested and certified. A new Premier fuel cell fitted, plus new seat, harness and fire extinguisher systems fitted.  All invoices and certificate renewals are on file, together with a new Historic Technical Passport for Peter Auto – Endurance Racing Legends series.

An immensely rewarding car to drive and pure Porsche Motorsport experience. The car is now offered in race-ready condition for the 2024 season ahead.
