The Boxster is the little sister of the almighty 911. It's much lighter, its weight distribution is better, and it has at least as much history as its big sister! Especially when we're talking about ours; the RS60 Spyder Boxster S. The RS60 is a nod to Porsche's beginnings. The 718 RS Spyder from 1960, of which 1,960 units were produced in limited edition. As an enthusiast, you always pay attention to details. Porsche knew how to handle this and has hidden many "winks" in this "homage." For example, the meters on the dashboard are "naked," the taillights are all red, and various badges (dashboard, door sills) recall the ode to the 718 RS.
The technology has also changed. The Boxster S received eight additional Stuttgart horsepower and the famous PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) chassis. The focus with the Boxster was already on driving pleasure. Add to that the above. Necessary? Absolutely not. Pretty? Damn, that's good! With its special exhaust (operated with the iconic exhaust button), it makes itself heard. Deep sound with very good afterburn. Every time we get out, we smile from ear to ear. Now, after all these years, I too have the Porsche bug. Actually, I'm just as bad. Ah, wisdom comes with age.
This example is a second-hand example and has been cared for with the utmost care to date. It has been fully serviced by a dealer and specialist workshop, is fully documented, and, of course, is damage-free. Besides being one of the most fun Porsches to drive, the "numbered homage" also makes it a sound investment from a rational perspective. Saves arguments at home. See you soon?
