2010 Porsche Boxster S for sale!

Porsche was created from the idea of performance. On and off the track, the iconic brand has attracted many enthusiasts over the years. If speed and pure driving experience are central, then this is the Porsche you want: a facelifted Boxster S 3.4 of the 2nd generation with manual gearbox, a sports exhaust, PASM suspension and 310 hp on the rear wheels! Of all modern Porsches, the Boxster S actually comes closest to the original model: the 356. Other reasons to come and test drive are the heated sports seats, bi-xenon headlights including cornering lights and a Bose Surround Sound audio system. The convertible season is far away, but at the same time oh so close…

The vehicle in detail

Exterior

The Porsche Boxster is a smooth machine with characteristic 6-cylinder boxer technology. It was sometimes said about the original from 1996 (code name 986) that the roadster looked too sweet. How different is this with its successor: the 987. The further refined 987.2 came onto the market in 2009 and definitively shook off the soft image. This is also the case: with an ink-black Basalt Black metallic body and 19-inch anthracite-colored Carrera S wheels underneath, our Boxster S looks fierce and pure. The updated rear light units have LED technology, the bi-xenon headlights are also equipped with cornering lights. When we say Boxster, we say a centrally positioned exhaust. The S has 2 as standard. Finally, this roadster is distinguished by a front lip spoiler, bright red brake calipers and a classic Porsche lettering on the rear hood. In short, a decoration to take seriously!

Interior

This line continues on the inside of the 987.2 Boxster S. Also in terms of color: you sit on black leather sports seats. Dashboard, door panels, soft top; almost everything is tinted dark on board the Porsche. Except for the white dials in the classically designed instruments and the high-tech aluminum finish of the 3-spoke steering wheel, decorative strip on the dashboard, door handles and finish around the gear lever. In any case, the lever is special, because it allows you to choose the gear yourself in the old-fashioned way. Porsche recently announced that it wants to stick with the manual gearbox for as long as possible, while also supplying one of the finest automatics in the world. This says a lot about the DNA of the sports car manufacturer. As well as the qualities of this pure driver’s car…

Options & extras
Despite the cozy 2-seater configuration and performance-oriented composition, our Porsche Boxster S offers enough space for luxury. We already mentioned the bi-xenon lighting with reflective headlights. And the fact that the sports seats can be heated was also known. It is unknown why a Bose Surround Sound sound system was installed from the factory if we can also listen to the wonderful sports exhaust… Moreover, you are extra encouraged to press the accelerator once you have taken note of the PASM sports suspension, which stands for Porsche Active Suspension Management. This advanced suspension ensures ultra-dynamic road holding thanks to a variable pneumatic adjustment of the shock absorbers. The sports suspension works both actively and passively, because it is possible to choose the hardness by means of a preference setting. One guess which mode we prefer…

Technology & performance
Traditionally, a pure Porsche sports car has the engine in the rear. Also in this case: the Boxster S 987.2 has a capacity of over 3.4 liters. This generation is just ahead of the modern turbo era and squeezes all its 310 horses to the rear axle completely under its own power. The manual transmission has 6 gears, but needs much fewer to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h within 5.3 seconds. The lack of a PDK automatic transmission equals fewer kilos on the scale and therefore a higher top speed: 274 km/h. Spurred on by an equally exciting and characteristic boxer roll, the sports exhaust gets the most out of the naturally aspirated power source in terms of sound. If only it could always be summer, because with the black top down the 6-cylinder melody sounds clearer than ever. Experience it yourself.

Kind regards,

Team Prins.
