The Story Behind the Name
My career in the automotive industry officially began in 2009 at Mercedes and Hyundai—but my story starts much earlier.
With more than 15 years of experience across the most diverse facets of the automotive world, I felt the time had come to share my knowledge, network, and vision with the world—under my own name, with my own identity. That’s how Martens Car Selection was born.
A Journey of Depth
Over the years, I’ve worked at BMW, a leasing and financing company, Jaguar Land Rover, and as a wholesaler. Different environments, different challenges—but always one clear common thread: transparency, decisiveness, and creating win-win situations. Values that still form the foundation of how I work.
The automotive world has its pitfalls. Thanks to my experience in the market’s various subsegments, I know how to recognize, properly assess, and manage them. Moreover, over the years I’ve built an extensive network, so the right expert, specialist, or solution is often no further away than a phone call or a visit.
A Passion You Can Feel
My training and passion are deeply rooted in the mechanical and technical aspects of the field. From a young age, I was actively involved in motorsports. After getting my driver’s license, I participated extensively in drift events, track days, and numerous amateur touring rallies—both at home and abroad. In each case, technology, the experience, and sportsmanship took center stage. These elements still shape my perspective on cars.
