A Quel Tempo – The New Event Community

Selected classic cars and sports cars, historic industrial architecture, and people who truly take the time to explore the stories behind the vehicles: A Quel Tempo organizes curated automotive events with a deliberately personal touch. It’s not about having as many cars as possible, but rather about a cohesive selection, special locations, and genuine connections within a community that blends automotive culture with design, craftsmanship, and a certain way of life.

What does A Quel Tempo stand for?

The idea came from Paul and his friend Maximilian. Both grew up around cars, though in different ways. Even as a child, Paul rode in a Porsche and accompanied his family on trips and to events in his Maxi-Cosi car seat. The smell of the garage, classic engines, and old sports cars were part of his everyday life from an early age.

Maximilian has been passionate about cars since childhood. His grandfather and father taught him early on that a car is much more than just a means of transportation. A defining experience was participating in the Mille Miglia support run in his father’s Alfa Romeo GT 1300, which significantly deepened his passion for classic cars. Today, he owns a Porsche 944, which he restored himself. After the engine failed, he completely disassembled and overhauled it himself and, after countless hours in the workshop, sleepless nights, and with great passion, got the car back on the road.

After many discussions together, the question eventually arose: What would a gathering look like that both of them would actually enjoy attending? The answer was an event featuring select vehicles, a carefully chosen location, and plenty of space for genuine interactions. Owners should be able to showcase their cars while also sharing the stories behind them. Visitors should have time to discover details and make connections. That’s how A Quel Tempo came to be.

The Idea Behind A Quel Tempo

The Italian name can be roughly translated as “at that time.” It captures a central theme of the event series: consciously taking time. For a vehicle whose history only unfolds in conversation. For technical details, artisanal solutions, and personal memories. And for encounters between people who see automobiles as part of their own life stories.

At A Quel Tempo, vintage cars, modern classics, classic sports cars, and modern, limited-edition vehicles can all be displayed side by side. The selection does not follow a fixed brand-based criteria. What matters most are character, history, and how a car fits into the overall picture of the event.

A Unique Vision of Car Shows

With A Quel Tempo, Paul and Maximilian are bringing their personal vision of a car meet to life. The number of vehicles remains manageable, the selection is curated, and the location is also part of the concept. Historic industrial buildings and architecturally distinctive spaces provide a setting that showcases the cars’ shapes, colors, and details.

We’re not interested in cramming as many cars as possible onto a field; we’re interested in people who are truly passionate about cars—people who want to chat, explore, and network with each other, not just look around.

Equally important is the atmosphere among the cars. A Quel Tempo is aimed at owners, collectors, and enthusiasts, but also at visitors who don’t own a classic car themselves. Anyone interested in design, technology, craftsmanship, and automotive history should feel like they’re part of the event.

A Quel Tempo × Kesselwerk 1954®: Paddock No. 4

On Sunday, August 23, 2026, A Quel Tempo will transform the historic Kesselwerk 1954 into a stage for automotive culture for one day. Around 150 select vehicles will be on display there for some 400 visitors—ranging from classic and modern classic cars to rare sports cars and modern vehicles with character.

The former industrial hall on the Fichtenhain campus provides the perfect setting for the fourth edition of the Paddock Format. Brick, steel, and the spacious interior of the old boiler house give the vehicles plenty of room without sacrificing the intimate atmosphere. From 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., there will be plenty of time for a tour, in-depth conversations, and new encounters within the community.

Tickets for A Quel Tempo Paddock No. 4

There are two ticket categories available for Paddock No. 4. Drivers who wish to display their own vehicle as part of the curated lineup of participants will need a Paddock Pass. Visitors who do not have their own vehicle to display can purchase a regular visitor ticket.
