Welcome to the next Elferspot Experience: the Beyond Adventure Alps Circumference 2026.
KALMAR Beyond Adventure Alps Circumference 2026
The Alps Circumference is not a classic crossing of the Alps. It is a great loop through the Alps – from the Côte d’Azur over some of the most spectacular passes in Europe to Bergamo. In ten days, the route leads through four countries, over 23 mountain passes and around 1,873 kilometers. It’s not about top speed, but about precision, a spirit of adventure and the special feeling of being on the road in a safari Porsche where others would have turned around long ago.

The Alps are the highest and largest mountain range in Europe. Mont Blanc with its 4,810 meters is on the route – even if there is of course no road to the summit. Instead, the Alps Circumference takes you under the mountain and into a world of gravel paths, small mountain villages, narrow passes, deep valleys and views that you will hardly recognize from classic travel guides.
This special place is right next to the well-known tourist routes: Where the asphalt ends, the road narrows and the landscape suddenly becomes wilder. This is exactly where KALMAR Beyond Adventure begins. The route combines famous names such as Furka, Gotthard, Stilfser Joch and Gavia with remote paths, alpine gravel passages and stages that challenge man and machine in equal measure.

We start where others stop. That’s exactly what Beyond Adventure is all about.
KALMAR Beyond Adventure
The great Alpine tour in a Safari Porsche
The Alps Circumference begins in Antibes on the French Riviera. Just 20 minutes from Nice International Airport, the group meets the KALMAR Beyond Adventure Team for the first time. After arrival, briefing and welcome dinner, the real adventure begins the next morning – with a lap of the Monaco Formula 1 circuit, before the route leads over small mountain roads and classic Monte Carlo rally passages towards Italy.
From there, the tour becomes more intense day by day. Small roads, gravel paths, narrow hairpin bends, alpine villages and spectacular altitude differences set the pace. The route leads to the Cime de la Bonette, the Col du Granon and the Col du Sommeiller – one of the highest rideable roads in the Alps. After several challenging days of riding, a two-day stop at the foot of Mont Blanc awaits in Chamonix.

After the break, the tour continues over some of the big names in the Alpine world: Furka Pass, the old Gotthard, Lake Como, Splügen Pass, Livigno, Stelvio Pass, Gavia and San Marco. The destination is Bergamo – one of the most beautiful historic cities in northern Italy and the perfect place to end this extraordinary adventure together.
Individual approach
For us, the experience must be unique. KALMAR Beyond Adventure offers a high level of service and support without losing sight of flexibility and individuality. The driving concept follows the classic rally style: it’s not about the fastest time, but about precise timing, good navigation and arriving safely.
You often drive and navigate independently, but you are never alone. The support team is always close by. The group stays together on particularly challenging stages. This is exactly what gives this trip its special character: ride yourself, experience it yourself, but with professional organization and an experienced team in the background.
The crossing of the Alps was an exciting, unique and completely unexpected driving experience on incredible roads through breathtaking mountain landscapes.
Participant voice, KALMAR Beyond Adventure
The team
Beyond Adventure’s experienced event team has a great passion for automotive adventures. The aim is to offer you the best possible support after long days of driving and at the same time ensure that you never feel alone, even in remote regions. In the event of an emergency, a defect or a simple flat tire, there is always a solution.
A well-coordinated team is on site at the Alps Circumference: team management, organization, mechanics and medical support accompany the trip. Specially trained technicians are on hand in case something needs to be done to a vehicle. A paramedic is also part of the team to be able to help quickly in the unlikely event of an emergency.
Local expertise is also part of the concept. A local guide enriches the experience with knowledge about the regions, roads, traditions and special features along the route. The journey is also accompanied by GPS tracking in the background. This ensures safety, orientation and comfort at all times.

The experience doesn’t just start on the day of departure, but as soon as you register. From arrival at the airport to departure, the team takes care of the most important details. This leaves more room for what it’s really all about: riding, discovering, being amazed and experiencing an adventure together that goes far beyond a normal Alpine trip.
Let the adventure begin!
The program, day by day

Day 1 – Arrival in Antibes
The adventure begins in Antibes on the Côte d’Azur. It is only around 20 minutes from Nice International Airport to the starting point. There you will meet the KALMAR Beyond Adventure team for the first time, get to know the vehicles and receive all the important information about the route, the process and rally-style driving at the detailed briefing.
If you want to arrive earlier, you can take the opportunity to enjoy Antibes and the French Riviera a little longer. The view towards the Mediterranean, the special charm of the old town and the relaxed atmosphere on the coast form the perfect contrast to what awaits in the coming days.
Hotel: CAP D’ANTIBES BEACH HOTEL

Day 2 – Monaco, rally roads and the first pass
The first day of driving starts early and is full of contrasts. You start with a lap of the Monaco Formula 1 circuit before heading out of the hustle and bustle of the Riviera on small side roads. We leave the highway to the left. Instead, romantic mountain villages, tight bends and classic rally Monte Carlo roads lead us deeper and deeper into adventure.
Asphalt soon turns to gravel. The first of many passes awaits – and with it the feeling that this journey is unlike anything you would normally associate with a Porsche in the Alps. In the evening, the group reaches Italy and a cozy Alpine chalet-style hotel.
Hotel: FIOCCO DI NEVE RELAIS

Day 3 – Between Italy and France
There are several passes on the program today. The route leads back and forth between Italy and France. Where others choose the easy main road, KALMAR Beyond Adventure takes the narrower, more exciting and often more spectacular alternative. Forest paths, terraced roads, tunnels, bridges and deep gorges characterize this day.
One highlight is the Cime de la Bonette. While most travelers stay on the asphalt, the Alps Circumference seeks out a special route. A slow pace, concentration and respect for the route are all part of the experience here. In the evening, there is enough time to let the experience sink in – and that is just the beginning.
Hotel: VILLA MORELIA
Day 4 – The queen stage of the Alps Circumference
This day challenges drivers and vehicles alike. The route leads over extreme, winding roads and up into high alpine terrain. Remember: if you want to get there, you have to drive with feeling. The Alps Circumference is not a race, but an adventure in which precision, calm and clean driving are crucial.
Two real highlights await with the Col du Granon and the Col du Sommeiller. At around 3,300 meters, the Sommeiller is one of the highest rideable roads in the Alps. If conditions and access allow, the Jafferau Road adds another spectacular passage to the day. If not, there is an equally scenic alternative.
Hotel: LE MONETIER
Day 5 – Over passes towards Mont Blanc
After four days full of nature, gravel and alpine roads, the question arises: how can this experience be enhanced? Day 5 provides the answer. Once again, numerous bends, narrow roads and passes in France and Italy await. There is also a special passage over a ski slope – if conditions and route permit.
At the end, the route leads towards Mont Blanc. The highest mountain in the Alps is on the route, even if the path does not lead up to it, but underneath it. Chamonix then awaits – and with it a well-deserved two-day stopover in one of Europe’s most famous mountain regions.
Hotel: HOTEL MONT BLANC

Day 6 – Rest day in Chamonix
Today the cars stay put. Those who wish can relax by the pool or in the spa, explore Chamonix or use the day for an alpine experience away from the steering wheel. We particularly recommend a trip to Montenvers-Mer de Glace on the famous red cog railroad or a ride on the cable car to the Aiguille du Midi.
After the intensive first stages, this rest day is more than welcome. At the same time, it makes the trip even more special: the Alps Circumference is not just a cycling adventure, but also an opportunity to experience the Alps with all your senses.
Hotel: HOTEL MONT BLANC
Day 7 – Furka, Gotthard and Lake Como
After the rest day, the morning starts a little more gently. But soon the route leads onto roads that look as if they are going straight up into the sky. The Furka Pass – famous from James Bond – and the old Gotthard Pass are on the program. Two big names of the Alpine world in one day.
Later, we continue towards Italy and Lake Como. Three countries, major passes and a lakeside dinner make this day one of the most varied sections of the entire trip.
Hotel: COMO HOTEL

Day 8 – Lake Como, Splügen Pass and Stelvio Pass
Today, the day begins with a ferry ride across Lake Como. Afterwards, the Splügen Pass awaits with its numerous hairpin bends. The route continues to Livigno before a narrow tunnel and the ascent to the Stelvio Pass. 48 hairpin bends, big names, big views – this day brings together some of the most famous Alpine roads in an intensive riding program.
In the evening, the group reaches an Alpine valley where the impressions of the day can slowly come to rest. The combination of lake, passes, tunnels and high alpine landscape makes day 8 a real highlight.
Hotel: EDEN

Day 9 – Gavia, San Marco and finale in Bergamo
Once again, the group starts early. The Gavia Pass is one of the narrowest and most impressive passes on this trip – almost too narrow for a 911. From there, the route leads through authentic Italian villages and on over the San Marco Pass, a lesser-known but particularly beautiful crossing towards San Pellegrino.

The Alps Circumference reaches Bergamo in the afternoon. The historic old town provides the perfect backdrop for the final evening. After ten days full of dust, bends, vertical meters and shared experiences, the motto is: See you next time.
Hotel: LE FUNI
Day 10 – Departure or extension
Today you can extend your stay in Bergamo or start your journey home. Transfers to Bergamo, Milan or Nice airports can be arranged on request. If you are interested, you can also visit the KALMAR Automotive vehicle production facility near Milan Malpensa Airport.
The cars – choose your very own adventure
The choice is yours! Which do you feel most comfortable with? Choose the one that suits you best from the proven KALMAR Beyond Adventure fleet of safari rally-inspired Porsches. You can choose from specially prepared Porsche 911s, Caymans and Cayennes. Depending on availability, a vehicle rotation is also possible.
The sports car
The sports cars – 911 and Cayman – have a roll cage, sports seats, raised suspension with rally dampers, large off-road tires and complete underride protection. There are also spare tire holders, additional lighting and, depending on the model, a cool box behind the seats.
Porsche Beyond Adventure RS
A lightweight, robust hardcore gravel car that is at home in tough conditions. The KALMAR RS is a real workhorse with a five- or six-speed manual gearbox. At around 1,300 kg and 260 to 290 hp, it offers a very direct, mechanical and intense driving experience.

Porsche Beyond Adventure RS-6
The more comfortable version of the KALMAR RS with a water-cooled engine. It is more complex than the classic RS, but offers more comfort and performance on longer journeys. Six-speed manual gearbox, around 1,425 kg ready to drive and around 300 hp.
Porsche Beyond Adventure RS-C
The latest sports car in the Beyond Adventure fleet is based on the Cayman R. Two trunks, PDK transmission, agile handling and around 326 hp make it the most modern and comfortable sports car in the fleet – fast, precise and yet ready for gravel.
The Cayennes
The Cayennes offer more ground clearance, larger off-road tires and a particularly high level of comfort. With underride guard, roof rack, cool box and recovery equipment, they are the most versatile vehicles for particularly demanding passages. Modern tablet navigation and satellite-supported safety systems ensure that you are well accompanied even off the beaten track.

Porsche Cayenne Beyond Adventure CS
The most comfortable car in the fleet. It may be less conspicuous than a 911 with a safari look, but on long days the Cayenne CS almost feels like a magic carpet. Comfort, space and functioning air conditioning make it a relaxed choice.
Porsche Cayenne Beyond Adventure CS-R
The most off-road capable car in the fleet. With its reduced weight, sports seats and lack of many comfort features, the CS-R is no ordinary SUV. Off-road reduction and differential locks make it the ideal companion when the going gets particularly tough.
Bring your own Safari Porsche
Do you already own a specially prepared Safari Porsche? Then it is also possible to participate with your own vehicle. The Beyond Adventure team will need a detailed description of the car in advance. Depending on the vehicle, a personal inspection may be advisable, as the team knows exactly what is needed to get the journey safely to its destination.
During the trip, your own vehicle is treated with the same care as the vehicles in the Beyond Adventure fleet. Any necessary spare parts or additional preparations will be discussed transparently. If you wish, you can also have a suitable vehicle set up by Kalmar. The team will clarify further details individually.
Can’t make up your mind? We’ll be happy to help you choose the right car to suit you and your driving style.
