Rarely do Porsches as special as this 911 become available. Commissioned for restoration without regard to cost by the very people that manufactured it nearly 40 years ago, this 911 stands out from all of its peers. Orginally gifted as a wedding present, this car held huge sentimental value for the previous owner, and so he didn’t hesitate to order the very best when it came to making his car new once again. The provenance is very special indeed.

The 3.4 litre engine raises the power output from the previous 231bhp to a very healthy 247 bhp. The engine now produces 306 Nm of torque at just 5,200 rpm. The ex-factory turbo-look arches also accomodate the upgraded braking system. To restore this car today would surely cost over £200,000, and so this represents a genuine opportunity to own a Porsche Q car for a fraction of its build cost, and it has the added cachet of being restored and enhanced by the Porsche factory.

Supplied new by Otto Glockler Porsche, Frankfurt in January 1986, the Cabriolet was gifted as a wedding present to a very fortunate son-in-law, who kept the car and enjoyed it. When the time came to restore it, there was only one place that could complete the task to his standards. With a complete service history, invoices, and a personally signed confirmation letter from the General Manager of Porsche Classic, it has the most wonderful itemised factory records of the Porsche Classic restoration: this is a 911 like no other.  A 12-month written warranty is also included.
