Unlike Porsche’s traditional Targa layout, the all-glass setup as featured on this captivating 996 allows for panoramic views, a glass panel that ingeniously retracts underneath the rear window, and the Targa even features a hatch opening that allows for immediate access to rear’s storage and/or seating areas (a welcoming feature that isn’t available on other 911s from this vintage to even now)! Though offering grand touring-esque levels of comfort, practicality, and daily usability, the Targa is still very much native to its sporting origins, coupled to this 996 being manual and a part of the last of the analog-era 911s, it’s absolute perfection!
