The RS 4.0 is some 10 kg lighter than a standard GT3 RS due to the extensive use of carbon to the bonnet and front winds, aero improvements were assisted with the fitment of Flics, air guide vanes fitted on the side of the front spoiler that help to reduce lift to the front axle at high speed, stiffer springs and the introduction of a bespoke PASM damping. The manual transmission has also been upgraded to shorter shift gear ratios which was first fitted to the GT3 RS 3.8, the combined result to all those additions adds a perfect precision to the Porsche’s handling.
