The factory leather-wrapped steering wheel frames the VDO instrumentation, including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline as well as a 180-mph speedometer, a Quartz analog clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. Silver-finished 16″ Design 90 wheels are mounted with Continental Extreme Contact 205 55 16 front and 225 50 16 rear tires.

Based on the original service booklet, the first owner of the vehicle took delivery on November 10, 1989, in San Francisco, California. The dealer-recorded services range from 20 miles to 160,091 miles, spanning from 1989 to 2011. The second owner, Mr. Waddell, purchased the car on December 21, 1992, and owned it until 1997 when it was sold to the third owner. Following its relocation to San Francisco, the 964 was religiously serviced by Niello Porsche in Rocklin, California. Ownership of the 964 changed three more times in 2007, 2019, and again in 2022. Most recently, $10,991.25 was spent on a major service performed by Black Forest Porsche Repair and Service in San Diego, California, on April 4, 2023, the following work was performed: replace battery, replace spark plugs, change engine oil and filter, replace hood shocks, clean out fuel injectors, replace valve cover gaskets, flush & bleed brake system, replace gearbox oil, replace steering rack boot, mount and balance tires, replace engine sound pad, flush front & rear differentials, replace fuel hoses, and replace fuel pressure regulator. There are minor oil leaks on the chain box covers as well as cylinder base gaskets.

Mechanically powered by an air-cooled 3.6L M64 flat-six cylinder engine, that produces 247 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque. 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 162 mph. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission that features a limited-slip differential and a four wheel disc braking system. Complete with the original maintenance and service booklets, owner’s manual, first aid kit, 6-disc changer, Airmate 8000 tire compressor, spare wheel, jack, and 15 years of service records are included.
