The car runs and drives superbly, having covered just over 3,000 miles since the rebuild, including a recent road trip to complete the NC500 in Scotland, during which the car performed faultlessly. Work has also been carried out to improve the suspension with Bilstein adjustable shocks, new top mounts, springs and bushes as well as having a new clutch, sports exhaust and a full overhaul of the targa roof, which is working perfectly. The car is running on its original 17 inch wheels with matching Continental tyres all round. New front and rear brake discs and pads were fitted at 87,500 miles, and have plenty of life remaining. The original service book and manual have unfortunately been lost, but there is a folder of regular service history dating back to 2004, as well as past MOT certificates. The car has been maintained by Porsche specialists such as Strasse, Charles Ivey, Northway Porsche and more recently Pie Performance. Overall the body and paint work presents very well with just some light stone chips and marks conducive with the age and mileage. A very usable, last of the classic, hand built air-cooled 911s, with room to improve as you use, but with the comfort of knowing the expensive engine work has all been taken care of.
