This 911 model, referred to internally as the 993, remains the one true love of many Porsche drivers. Its aesthetic design has a lot to do with its popularity. The integrated bumpers emphasise the smooth elegance of its styling. The front section is lower than on the earlier models, made possible by a switch from round to polyellipsoidal headlights. The 993 quickly gained a reputation for its exceptional design and reliability. It was also agile as it was the first 911 with the newly designed aluminium chassis.
