Launched in late 1993 and on sale shortly thereafter, the Porsche 993 was the last 911 to use an air-cooled engine. A significant advance both visually and technically, the 993 was stated to be 80% new, sharing only a roof and front lid with its 964 predecessor. Per Porsche custom, the list of 993 variants was extensive and included a 4S model that borrowed the Turbo’s body with wide rear arches, all-wheel-drive system, and larger brakes with characteristic red calipers.

Registering under 58,000 miles at the time of cataloguing, this 1998 Porsche 993 Carrera 4S is finished in Glacier White over a Chestnut Brown leather interior. One of 298 built for the North American market during the 993’s final year of production, this 4S was factory-optioned with a power driver’s seat, CDR-210 radio, and wheel caps with colored crests. Accompanied by a thick file of records and receipts attesting to meticulous upkeep, this car has been upgraded with the addition of Bilstein HD shocks, M030 sport suspension springs, shock tower brace, Turbo S ducts with driving lights, Motorsound air filter, and aluminum gauge bezels.
