The Targa models of the 997 Porsche 911 was introduced in 2006. Similar to its predecessors such as the 933 and 996, the 997 utilized a glass roof system which can be opened at any speed and slides back underneath the rear window. Targa models also have a unique fastback-esque rear hatch which fully opens for accessibility from the rear. Worldwide, Porsche approximately produced 130,798 vehicles in their 997.1 production run which only 4853 models had the Targa designation.

Performance comes from a 3.8 Liter Flat 6-Cylinder Boxer engine which is the last of the legendary Metzger engines produced by Porsche. The engine produces 355hp and 295 lb-ft of torque which propels the car from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds with a top speed of 179mph.

Delivered to Porsche of San Diego, this vehicle remained with its original owner until 2021 who meticulously documented the car down to every gallon of gas put into the vehicle, gas station location and mileage intervals between fill ups. It has since then been with a well-known client where it’s been stored throughout the winters and sparingly used. The service history dates back to new and has been up kept every year regardless of use at Porsche dealerships and specialist shops.
