History: Only 2,904 examples of the GTS left the factory. A more recent car, rather rare, with the biggest and most powerful engine in its lineage, it has become particularly sought-after and, naturally, the most expensive.
This 928 GTS is a phase 2, the most accomplished version with its engine capacity increased to 5.4 litres. It’s third-hand. The third and current owner has owned it since 1998.

Condition :

General: This Porsche is in good overall condition.

Exterior : The bodywork is very nice. There are a few, rather discreet, signs of wear and tear. The retractable high beam headlights work perfectly. The sunroof is well sealed.

Interior: The cabin is in a remarkable state of preservation. Unlike many 928s, the dashboard is as good as new, without the slightest crack. This is proof that the car has been stored away from the sun. The car has been professionally detailed: the carpets are very clean and the leather is supple. All the on-board equipment is functional.

Powertrain: The V8 works like a charm. Starting from cold is easy, with no misfires or abnormal smoke. The sound of the engine is very pleasant. Its torque and power delivery are astonishing, proof of a healthy engine! The reverse gearbox is very pleasant to drive, smooth and precise. Its roadholding is very efficient and surprisingly stable. The car is determined and lively, and feels almost light!

Underpinnings: The underpinnings are very sound.

Recent work:
Front and rear brake pads replaced,
Air conditioning recharging (R134 gas, recharging still possible, unlike the R12 gas installations on the older 928s),
Timing and clutch replaced in 2020.
