This 2014 Porsche 911 Carrera is finished in White over a black leather interior and is fitted with the relatively uncommon 7-speed manual gearbox option. Sold new through Porsche of Fremont in Fremont, CA, this car has remained in the greater San Francisco Bay Area while under the care of four owners. In its current form, the car is fitted with a set of light gold BC Forged KL01 wheels, which are accented by green lug nuts and green center caps. Showing 28,630 miles at the time of cataloging, the CarFax indicates a history of main dealer servicing throughout the car’s life. Minor stone chipping is present around the vehicle, but overall the exterior remains in very good condition for the miles, and paint protection film covers the front bumper and ⅓ of the front fenders.
The interior is covered in black leather, with 14-way power sport seats and carbon fiber trim throughout. An optional carbon multi-function steering wheel with heating has been fitted as has the Bose Premium Audio Package. Additionally, the Premium Package Plus was optioned which gives the car Porsche Entry and Drive keyless entry, heated and ventilated seats, and park distance control. One of the things that makes the 911 such a desirable car is that in addition to its sporting nature and exciting behind-the-wheel driving, it is a totally comfortable vehicle to use every day and is fitted with all of the convenience features you could hope for.
Powered by a new flat-6 known as the 9A1, the 991 in Carrera trim displaces 3.4 liters and is rated from the factory at 345 horsepower and 288 lb-ft of torque. On this car, it is paired to Porsche’s first 7-speed manual gearbox. One of the first 7-speed manuals, this gearbox combined sporty, closely stacked ratios in the lower gears, which were then paired to extra overdrives, that make highway cruising a joy. This combination achieves 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 180 mph. During our inspection, the car appeared to be in excellent mechanical condition with no detractors noted on the report.
The 991.1 is a great era for the 911 and the Carrera from this generation represents the final 911 Carrera fitted with a naturally aspirated flat-6. Although it is impossible to guess how collectibility will be judged in the future, the final naturally aspirated Carrera certainly has the makings of a car that will increase in value, and when paired with a 3-pedal manual gearbox, those chances increase even further.
