When Porsche launched the 996 on the market, many enthusiasts were left wondering. With the 996 Porsche left the air-cooled engines behind forever and came up with the innovative and more powerful version of the new six-cylinder water-cooled boxer engine.
The Porsche 996 is the successor to the well-known Porsche 993 and has brought about a number of innovations. The round headlights were replaced by new oval headlights and the five characteristic bells were no longer positioned in a row but more „inside“ each other.
