When we received this 997, we were immediately thrilled. It’s a fantastic combination, of course, this Porsche 911 Carrera S with PDK, boasting a whopping 385 hp, rear-wheel drive, and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that performs quickly and smoothly. And yes, it’s equipped with all the modern gadgets, such as a touchscreen PCM system and Bluetooth phone functionality, so this Mark 2 version of the 997 already has everything a 991 had. Engine-wise, it’s also a new version, so it no longer features the dreaded IMS bearing, for example. This Carrera S is wonderfully complete, with its adaptive sport seats, full leather interior, and Sport Chrono package. The previous owner fitted it with an original, switchable sport exhaust and a sports paddle-shift steering wheel—that really completes it! Oh, and of course, the Bose sound system is a real treat!

From the outside, the dual-lens swivel headlights are striking, a special option for the MK2 models, and of course, the red brake calipers that identify this as the 3.8-liter S version.
