The 997 Sport Classic combines classic design elements with modern technology. The most prominent feature is the iconic “ducktail” spoiler design, which references the legendary Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 from the 1970s. The body is finished in an exclusive Sport Classic Grey paint, which gives a refined yet sporty look. The 19-inch Fuchs rims enhance the retro look and provide a unique look.
The interior also exudes exclusivity. The upholstery is done in espresso brown leather, combined with a checkered fabric for the seats, which refers to classic Porsche models. Every detail, from the stitching to the dashboard trim, exudes craftsmanship.
Under the hood is an atmospheric 3.8-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, which produces 408 horsepower – an upgrade over the standard Carrera S. The Sport Classic uses rear-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission, offering a pure and engaging driving experience. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds and has a top speed of 302 km/h.
The suspension features Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which ensures optimal balance and grip regardless of driving conditions. Thanks to the wider rear axle and low ride height, the Sport Classic feels particularly dynamic and precise.
With a limited edition of only 250 units, the 997 Sport Classic was seen as a future classic right from its introduction. Each example features a numbered plaque to underline its exclusivity.
