According to the seller, the body of the 911 S in the current possession, which is accident-free, is presented in the color called "light ivory": In the course of the restoration work, it was completely repainted in the original color. Except for minimal signs of wear and tear on the exterior, no negative abnormalities can be found in the vehicle. The chrome is still in its full shine, all the decorative elements on the car are complete and there are no parking bumps or other scratches on the front or rear bumper. The Targa roof is crack-free. There is no corrosion on the entire body, furthermore the current owner states that this Porsche has not had any modifications deviating from the original condition.
So-called Pirelli P6000 tires are used for this Porsche – the tires are a bit older, but still have enough profile. The classic Porsche Fuchs rims can be said to be in acceptable condition. The condition of the brakes can be considered good and TÜV-compliant, and there are no deficits to be noted in the area of the chassis.
For visual reasons, the original imitation leather seats in the interior have been replaced with retro seats in a black and white Pepita pattern – the original seats have, however, been kept and will of course be added to the vehicle. The interior of this 911 appears to be in very good condition overall, with no obvious signs of major damage or heavy wear. The Targa roof can be easily removed from its anchorage and stowed away, and the locking process works perfectly. In addition to the four-spoke leather steering wheel, there is also an original Porsche radio on board this 911 S.
The Targa's odometer reads 8,900 kilometers – but since the speedometer only has five digits, the current owner assumes a mileage of 108,900 kilometers. The overall mileage of the Porsche can no longer be traced, but it can be said that the substance of this car is very good and the kilometers seem quite credible. All instruments inside the car can be said to be in good condition.
All the factory stickers are still on the rear, and the engine compartment itself is in a clean condition: the 2.2-litre six-cylinder boxer engine delivers 180 hp at 6500 rpm. Almost 200 Newton meters of torque are pumped to the crankshaft. The gearbox is a 5-speed center shift, which can be shifted through flawlessly and without scratching. After consultation with the seller, he states that maintenance is due – but according to the current owner, there are no current technical defects.
In view of the age of the vehicle, which is now over 50 years old, the underbody of this Porsche 911 S 2.2 Targa can be said to be in good condition: Improperly carried out repairs cannot be found on the underside.
