Inspired by Butzi Porsche’s revolutionary spirit, the EDIT g11 draws inspiration from the timeless lines of the original Porsche 911 from 1963. “We truly admire that perfect silhouette with the taillights damn close to the ground. That was our biggest inspiration when we were working on the EDIT g11,” comments Petr Novague, former Porsche ambassador, award-winning designer and creator of the new Porsche restomod from the Czech Republic. Novague and his local team breathe new life into the 997 generation by reshaping it with carbon fibre components, seamlessly taking us on a journey to the future and back to the good old days of air-cooled Porsches.
But it does not just stop at the exterior design. The EDIT g11 has a completely redesigned interior with premium materials and features a number of technical enhancements whose sole purpose is to give the driver a truly analogue driving experience. While modern cars increasingly gravitate toward digital complexity, the EDIT g11 celebrates simplicity and the genuine driving connection. In the EDIT g11, it’s just you, the steering wheel, the pedals and the shifter.
Still, the car is reasonably comfortable and usable. The EDIT g11 is equipped with air conditioning, heated seats or traction control, it also offers the convenience of wireless phone charging and Bluetooth connectivity for seamless music playback, catering to your preferences and desires. The ride itself, however, is pure and raw. Precisely balanced steering, enthusiastic throttle response, distinctive flat-six engine sound – the EDIT g11 will remind you why you love cars.
Restored and enhanced
The car is crafted on the foundation of a Porsche 997.1 or 997.2 Turbo with a manual transmission or PDK. The car is first meticulously restored, then given carbon fibre front and rear end and a ducktail. The interior gets a new redesigned steering wheel, remodelled central panel and is newly upholstered. The original suspension is replaced with Öhlins adjustable shock absorbers. The car is equipped with a short shifter, performance exhaust system, Quaife limited-slip differential, magnesium Fuchs wheels and new brakes with GT3 front discs and Brembo callipers.
The paint colour, interior colours and materials and all details are tailored to the customer’s wishes.
