But since this is already my 8th Porsche 964, I immediately recognized the perfect basis for my project when I bought it in 2022. As a result, I made all the changes very deliberately and carefully.
According to my calculations, there are only around 9000 units of the original 964 C2 with manual gearbox and LHD left in the world thanks to companies like Singer. Many in worn-out condition. The good ones must be preserved for posterity.
This 964 C2 is the still hand-built, analog, air-cooled 911 in its original silhouette, with a narrow body.
Only a lot lighter and sportier, giving it a truly impressive driving experience in an exciting way. Nevertheless, not as tough and uncompromisingly racing (like the 964 RS).
964 connoisseurs will immediately sense that this is a truly unique creation that constantly demands to be driven and appreciated by those who understand how extraordinary it is. It is addictive, driving it becomes a drug.
Not driving it, but just looking at it and admiring it is not possible! Much too good to disappear into a collection.
My "perfect 964" is characterized by the following features,
- Carrera 2 Coupe (RWD) as a 2-seater (rear seats removed) with Recaro Pole Position seats, Clubsport steering wheel, wooden gearshift, RS carpet, RS door panels
- with heating, electric sunroof and air conditioning to ensure Daily Driver comfort all year round
- Nevertheless, weight reduction > 80 kg compared to standard by removing seats, airbag steering wheel, trim, insulation, rear wiper, trunk carpet, additional heating, center silencer, bumper carrier, fog lights, immobilizer
- Power increase to approx. 290 hp with sporty sound through modified intake, exhaust system and engine control unit with tuning on performance test bench
- Sporty, dynamic tuning of the drivetrain (sports clutch / single-mass flywheel / shorter shift travel / synch. Gearbox / GT 3 limited slip differential)
- Modern adjustable sports suspension (KW V3 Clubsport), strut brace, stabilizers, harder bearings/bushings, tuned for winding country roads
- Large brakes (964 RS) with steel braided lines and adapters
- Cup rims and tires (3-piece, 18-inch Speedline Design RH, rim star in body color, custom-made)
- Very sporty interior for ergonomically perfect sitting, steering, shifting (with focus on haptics at touchpoints, steering hub and gearshift extension, adapted pedals)
- Elegant interior in retro style with sufficient residual comfort for 2 people on longer journeys (air conditioning, ESD, leather, Alcantara, Porsche Classic radio, navigation system,...)
- deliberately NOT a track tool but a mountain tool, therefore no roll bar
- and of course beautiful looks, breathtaking driving (although still/only the original 3.6L engine is installed)
It's a bit like if Porsche had created a GT 3 Touring from the 964 (back then it would probably have been called the 964 Club Sport).
My basis is a 964 Carrera 2 model year 1992 (NS series with already many improvements), in the color night blue metallic L37W, interior originally light gray TS

Complete history is available and documented. Vehicle has always been registered in Germany and has been serviced exclusively by Porsche specialist workshops.
Original vehicle registration document, folder with warranty service booklet, tools, emergency wheel, compressor, 2+1 keys, TÜV reports and invoices, all available.
I bought the vehicle from the previous owner in 2022 with 199,744 km in the original delivery condition. He himself had purchased the vehicle in 2002 with 137,000 km and lovingly maintained it for 20 years. In the last 8 years 2014 - 2022 for health reasons but only moved an average of 1500 km / year with seasonal license plates in summer on long journeys. It was always parked in a heated garage and showed no signs of rust, not even in the critical areas of the 964. The paintwork was flawless, with very few stone chips.
The excellent impression was also confirmed when the vehicle was completely dismantled before the conversion (engine, gearbox, brakes, chassis and tank as well as the complete interior fittings were removed to ensure that the base was also corrosion-free in the critical 964 areas). Even the usual dry ice blasting of the underbody could be dispensed with this time. The original sealant was retained.
The conversion to its current condition took place in the period 2022-2024. Modifications have been approved by TÜV (§21) and confirmed as correct for the period (§23). Vehicle therefore has approval for H license plates (recognized as a historic vehicle / classic car) in Germany.
The conversion is too extensive to describe here, it was accompanied by experts and is fully documented by 2 detailed appraisals, which can of course be viewed. A complete repaint was deliberately avoided in order to preserve as much of the original paintwork as possible. It wears the few stone chips with dignity.

Since the conversion / complete refresh, approx. 27,000 km have been driven. Exclusively in good weather!
This 964 shows once again in an impressive way,
the whole is more than the sum of its parts!
Modified like this is impressively better and just so much more fun!
