In 2022, Gerrit invested around €35,000 in this first-generation Porsche 996. There are public videos documenting the project. I subsequently purchased the car from Gerrit, and it can still be said that it is the most transparent Porsche 996 an enthusiast can acquire.
Here are a few relevant links to this wonderful project:

I’ve been driving the car for the past two years, covering roughly / just 10,000 km, and have invested another nearly €10,000 in total:
- €2,000 for PCCM (Porsche Classic Communications Management)
- (Phone/Bluetooth/navigation system brought up to modern standards)
- €0.5K new Pirelli Sports P2 tires, front
- €2,000 for a new left fender
- €5,500 new front shock absorbers, new built-in locks, new keys with remote control, complete inspection after one and a half years.
All with receipts, available for inspection at my location in Berlin. All work performed at Sportwagen REIN in Berlin’s Meilenwerk, a Porsche specialist.
Other features include:
Harman Kardon sound system, power front seats, new rear seat belt buckles, rear window wiper.
Since we’ll be leaving Germany soon, I’m downsizing my collection, and the cars I’ve acquired most recently are going first. This includes this beautiful blue Porsche 996.
