The vehicle in detail

In 1964, the Porsche ‘901’ was born in Stuttgart. After Armand Peugeot and Ferdinand Porsche had a falling out over the zero in the middle, Ferdinand decided to play it safe. Something to do with the motto: “Choose your battles.” The ‘911’ was an immediate hit; today, Porsche is on par with the 911 in name recognition.

In 1972, the “Ur-911” was slightly modified before becoming the G-model. This modification proved perfect on paper. After the battery was split in two in the nose for weight distribution, the fluid distribution couldn’t be left behind. An oil system was chosen that could be refilled with an “oil valve” at the rear. Everything used to be better, gas stations were staffed, and they even filled up for you! You guessed it; most 72s ran on mixed lubrication on street corners… Porsche’s biggest mistake to date, resulting in only 1523 units being produced. Quickly forgotten, but thanks to the extremely low production numbers, it’s now beloved by collectors and enthusiasts!

Ours is, of course, just as you’ve come to expect. Just the way it should be, perfect for driving without any immediate guilt.
