HCC is pleased to offer this 1997 Porsche 911 Targa, finished in Zenith Blue Metallic over a Classic Grey leather interior. Powered by the air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, this 993 Targa was completed in October 1996 and originally delivered new to the U.S. market.
After spending its early life in the United States, the car was exported to Germany in 2012, where it remained under careful ownership for more than a decade. During its time in Europe, the car was consistently serviced by DK Sportwagen in Bergisch Gladbach, with detailed invoices from 2016 through 2024 documenting over €25,000 in maintenance and mechanical work, including a clutch replacement, brake servicing, valve cover reseals, multiple A/C services, new tires, DME reprogramming, and routine fluid services.
In early 2025, the car returned stateside and is now offered in Texas with its transatlantic history well documented across both European service records and U.S. ownership history. Most recently, in December 2025, the engine received a fresh top-end rebuild to address a valve guide issue. The work included new valves and guides, a comprehensive engine reseal, replacement of the power steering belt and distributor belt, new spark plugs, a rebuilt power steering rack, and additional supporting service, resulting in a mechanically sorted and confidence-inspiring drivetrain.
Factory equipment includes 17″ Speedline Targa Wheels, supple leather front and rear, power seats, aluminum instrument dials, metal door sill model insignia, stainless steel exhaust tips, and multiple factory carbon/aluminum interior accents. A Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) system is currently installed, providing modern Bluetooth and navigation functionality.
This 993 Targa is offered with a clean CARFAX, extensive service documentation from both Europe and the U.S., and a clean Texas title.
