The 912 Coupe, which is in excellent condition and largely original, was reimported from California in 2015 after decades in storage and carefully restored to roadworthy condition with the necessary repairs.
Meticulous care was taken to preserve as many original parts as possible; for example, the turn signal and taillight lenses were not replaced, and the steel wheels—with their unique “California rust-patina”—were preserved for the future.
All technically necessary restoration work (brakes, shift linkage, fuel system, etc.) was professionally carried out. The 912 impressively presents a harmonious and age-appropriate overall appearance.
In many respects, it is certainly very attractive and one-of-a-kind!
The engine and the 5-speed transmission function flawlessly and, given the chassis number’s production period, are most likely “matching.” The solid, unwelded body was repainted from Irish Green to “Porsche Light Yellow” in its early years.
