A beautiful and fully restored 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster.
Delivered new by Porsche importer and “inventor” of the Speedster, Max Hoffman from New York.
Little is unfortunately known from his time in the USA. Like many 356 Speedsters, this one was found in partially dismantled condition, with the work to refurbish it not completed.
A very late 1958 T2A Speedster by Reutter. So one of the last Speedster ever build.

The Speedster was probably imported to the Netherlands in the late 1990s and was subsequently stored there for many years. Until it was bought up in 2012 and this restoration was started. This became a very extensive restoration in which no expense was spared to restore this 356 Speedster to its former glory.
Presented in the beautiful and its original colour combination Elfenbein with a Red leatherrette interior a Beige boucle carpet set, black convertible top and a Red tonneau.
The engine and gearbox were largely incomplete when the Speedster came to the Netherlands. A time-correct 1600 type 616-1 engine and gearbox were found with it. These, like all the technology, were completely reassembled.
