HISTORY
There is no written documentation about the time from factory delivery to 2007. On July 18, 2007, a California Title was issued to the then owner Hannelore Hoehn in Los Angeles. On October 10, 2009, the restorer Bernd von Nolting from Frankfurt acquired the Speedster from Mrs. Hoehn, which was in need of restoration. The car was undoubtedly used in motor sports and was taken along accordingly.
In the years that followed, Bernd von Nolting undertook a complete and uncompromising restoration of the car to a factory condition. The car has been completely stripped of paint. The damaged metal sheets were cut out and correct metal sheets procured or made and welded in place using spot welding processes or butt joints, as in the factory. The work is extensively documented with photos. An extremely high-quality paint finish in the original ivory color was applied, and the underbody and cavities were sealed. The interior and the soft top have also been renewed to a very high standard. The entire technology was revised, the engine was rebuilt on the basis of a factory replacement engine with 75 hp.
In 2015 the restoration was completed and the Speedster was sold to a German collector. However, he lives and works abroad, so the car was stored in our collector's vehicle department. Regular movement drives were carried out to counteract stand damage. A complete inspection and maintenance was currently carried out by the Porsche Pope Reile in Schorndorf. Now this beautiful Speedster is ready for the coming season.
