Porsche 356 B 1600

Porsche 356 B 1600

Cabriolet, 1960

Highlights

  • Beautiful color combination
  • Very desired 356 version
  • Ultimate driver's car

It was in September ’59 that Porsche came to light with their completely redesigned 356 and named the 356B. The car was completely redesigned and the biggest modification was the bodywork which was mainly focused on the American market, the T5 bodywork. The main difference of this was that the bumpers came several inches higher as well as the headlights. The interior also underwent a minor metamorphosis with some upgrades such as a new design steering wheel and deeper front seats all this to further improve the comfort and driving experience.

The T5 Cabriolet was the convertible variant of the 356B generation and was the successor to the well-known 356A, of which only 3000 were produced. In terms of motorization, it remained little changed from the coupe and was available as 1600,1600S, Super 90 and the Carrera engines.

The vehicle in detail

Our 1960 356B T5 cabriolet is the absolute driver’s car par excellence and was expertly repainted a few years ago that forms a beautiful combination with the beige leather interior. The car drives extremely well and smooth as does the 4-speed manual transmission which makes it a real pleasure to enjoy the different types of drives with this car. The car has been maintained with us for a long time so we know it inside and out, as soon as there were any remarks we were allowed to fix them by the previous owner which makes it a very reliable car that has always been maintained correctly. The car has been used for what it was made for: driving! Nevertheless, the car is in excellent condition from top to bottom, inside and outside. It goes without saying that there are no additional costs for this car and it is pure enjoyment and even more, by her very interesting year and driving experience she is the ideal car to participate in almost every rally.

Are you looking for something more sporty with the necessary charisma? Something reliable that also drives tremendously well? Then come and discover this beautiful 356B at Rock ‘n Roll Classics.
