This Porsche 356 B 2000 GS Carrera 2, with factory sunroof and coveted Fuhrmann Königswellen engine, was also modified by Reinhard Schmidt. There were only 8 of this extremely rare example. History of the series

Porsche revised the Porsche 356 A and produced the new 356 B (T5) series from 1959. The performance spectrum began with the 356 B 1600 and 60 hp and ended with 130 hp in the 356 B 2000 GS Carrera 2. The Fuhrmann engine, which is also installed in this Carrera, was originally intended for racing and brings a completely new driving experience.

The difference to the previous model is, among other things, the 10 cm higher positioned front bumper with higher-set headlights. In addition to the front indicators, flatter horn grilles with two chrome-plated slats each are installed. Another feature is the front hood handle, which is wider towards the bottom than on the previous model. The license plate lighting was also integrated into the rear bumper and the reversing light was installed below the rear bumper.

From September 1961 (T6) there were additional revisions such as a wider front hood and a fuel cap integrated into the front right fender. Two vertically arranged air grilles were also integrated into the enlarged hood.
