Chassis 216332 was registered new to its first owner, a resident of Hermosa Beach, California in February 1964 via Competition Motors, Culver City, California. The original specification was black over black interior, the same colour combinations it is presented in today as per the Kardex, it was optioned with chrome-plated perforated disc brakes and a Blaupunkt Frankfurt Deluxe radio with two speakers and antenna.

The vehicle in detail

It was acquired by our client from the Kendall Car Company based in Loma Linda, California on the 6th of March 1990. While the early history is unknown there is a nice history file of receipts on hand from 1990 to the present which begin with a California certificate of title and then an MOT in August 1990 after it was imported into the UK. The car resided with its caring long-term owner in the UK and then moved with him several years later to France, after a careful life of sparing use it returned to the UK in 2024 for a detailed service. The paintwork and brightwork have some patina with imperfections, the panels gaps and fit are excellent, and the undercarriage is solid and rust free.

It’s powered by its matching-numbers 1600cc flat-four engine delivering 75 horsepower paired with its matching-numbers four-speed gearbox, the car is accompanied by its history file, tool kit and spare wheel.
