The vehicle in detail

The following work, among other things, was performed:

• The brake system was extensively overhauled and the brake hoses were replaced
• Brake fluid reservoir and lines replaced
• Replaced stabilizer bar bushings, mountings, and tie rods
• Front axle inspected, adjusted, and lubricated
• Fuel system extensively overhauled
• Fuel valve and fuel hoses replaced
• Engine oil and oil filter replaced
• Oil strainer and gaskets replaced
• Spark plugs replaced
• Ignition system checked and adjusted
• Carburetor synchronized and adjusted
• Carburetor linkage adjusted
• Clutch cable replaced and clutch adjusted
• Battery replaced
• Electrical system and wiring partially overhauled
• Lights and fog lights overhauled
• Steering/steering column inspected and adjusted
• Final test drive completed

A compression test was also performed as part of the work.

This test yielded very consistent readings of 9.5 to 10.0 bar across all four cylinders.
