Porsche 356

In 1949, the first production sports car of the ingenious engineer Ferdinand Porsche started under his own name. The first models of the first years were still named after their engine capacity, and from 1955 the official designation 356 “A” began. This was to last until 1965, until the official market launch of the 911, with the last and third type designation “C”.

Porsche always wanted to be better than the previous model with each new model. This was also the case with the 356 “C”, which, for example, in contrast to the series production of other manufacturers at the time, was equipped with 4 disc brakes on all sides ex works.

With its innovations, it was often a step ahead of the others and ended the 356 era with the still very popular, and above all reliable, Type “C”.
